The brightest, toughest, most classified mercenary band on the planet; SALT (Sea, Air & Land Tactics) Team One is a enthusiastic group of young fighters who have no ties to life, wanting only to fight in the name of freedom. All they ask for their excellent service is Food, Water, and Equipment for the next mission. They are a "pay me in ammo" type of people. They are the military's secret weapon: they test all new equipment in the field before anybody else. SALT members are daredevils, and in some ways test-dummies. If the military needs a covert operation done, they send SALT in to clear the area out.
The names of all seven members are in team-wide nickname category: birthstones. Only one is female, but she has an interesting background- she was more than worthy to be a SEAL based on her combat ability, but because of Navy SEAL's rules (women cannot be SEALs, but can in this story at least be in combat;) She joined SALT.
